This feature is designed to provide added holding power in the absence of a flat washer, essentially taking its place. Flange bolting has a wide variety of applications. One of the most popular uses is in pipefitting and plumbing. All flange bolting applications can be fitted with Belleville washers in order to hold the clamping pressure in many different environments and applications. This will help the joints last longer in the application and will reduce the amount of maintenance required.
